On 17 and 18 March 2021, the Policy Learning Platform is organising an online peer review for the benefit of Hessen Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing.
The Hessen Ministry wants to convene with European experts and their regional stakeholders to discuss tried-and-tested ways of, as well as new ideas for, supporting SMEs in mastering the digital transformation, with a particular focus on the challenge to engage in digital capacity building processes.
In addition, they would like to learn about best practice experiences made in other parts of Europe and examine if some of these approaches could be adapted to their specific regional needs.
The following specific thematic objectives will be treated during the Peer Review together with SME competitiveness experts and European peers:
- Design of business support ecosystems (policies, stakeholder governance, support portfolio);
- Design and practical roll-out of support services (consulting, coaching, funding...);
- Design and practical roll-out of support fostering digital capacity building in SMEs.
