DASTI performs tasks relating to research and innovation policy and provides services to and supervises the scientific research councils advise the political system and allocate funds for independent research, strategic research and innovation.
The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation (DASTI) is taking part of the P2L2 project in order to meet the increasing quality requirements in areas like aerospace and space, defense and the automotive industry.
In order for this to happen, Danish companies and research institutions will have to collaborate closer with the other European partners and regions in specialized settings, using state-of-the-art test and demonstration facilities. The P2L2 project helps realizing this ambition by giving a strategic direction to the collaboration in the context of the Danish Cluster and Network strategy.

A key element in Lituanian innovation ecoystem is InnoVouchers: a scheme aimed at promoting innovative activities in companies, encouraging business-science cooperation and commercialisation of public research results.
Innovoucers entitles companies to buy R&D expertise or knowledge from research institutions. Applicants may receive up to € 6.000,00 for contracts with research institutions under which specific R&D services may be performed.
Companies may choose a service from a list which includes nearly 2000 R&D services of different types. Applicants may get funding for up to 80% of total project eligible costs.
The scheme speeds up knowledge transfer and commercialization of research results. As a result, companies are encouraged to use the latest scientific achievements in their business. The appeal of InnoVouchers is related to its simplicity and low administrative burden both for beneficiaries and administrators.

In 2009 Aquitaine has defined a regional roadmap dedicated to ‘‘composites and advanced materials’’. The definition of this RIS3 area in Aquitaine has made explicit the strategic choice to consider chemistry as a Key Enabling Technology, as opposed to simply an industrial sector. The regional roadmap promotes research, technological developments and industrial offers as added-value solutions to different market-oriented sectors as aeronautics, transportation, building or energy. This strategic orientation has allowed open discussions with new stakeholders and promoted the cross-cutting capacity of the ‘‘Chemistry and Advanced Materials’’ RIS3 area. The regional policy instrument, through several meetings with the regional stakeholders, has been defined as coordination tools of different operational instruments such as industrial partnership agreements, Innovation centres, and funding tools.
