We are launching an open call for people interested in giving us feedback on our website and online services for the present and the future programme (2021-2027). Fill in this form to express your interest.
We asked our communication team’s digital officer, Julie Patenaude, to answers some of your questions about the call.
Why did you decide to ask for people’s help with the new website?
Because the website is for them. We have some pretty interesting ideas for the new website. For example, we’ll be looking at all the steps people take to apply for a project: from thinking of a project idea and making sure it meets our criteria to finding partners and applying online.
It’s one big journey. And who better to help us understand it than the people who take it.
How much time would people need to dedicate?
That depends on them. People can choose to get involved as little or as much as they want.
We’re building a list of people who we can contact for:
- Short, one-off conversations
- Surveys: less than 30 minutes
- User tests: 1-2 hours on an occasional basis by phone, online or in person
- Interviews: 1-2 hours on an occasional basis by phone, online or in person
- Focus groups: 1/2 day or less once or twice per year online or in person
People can also tell us if they want to help with a specific part of the website.
Do people need to be web experts to participate?
Not at all! We’re looking for people with all levels of experience. People with less experience sometimes make the best user-testers!
What’s in it for them?
It’s always fun to be among the first to try out a new service or to know that you helped shape it. But I think the knowledge they will gain about user-testing is the most beneficial, especially for those building their own websites.
User-testing is a very important part of managing a website. By getting involved in this initiative, people will learn techniques that they can apply themselves in their own work.
How can people express their interest?
Let us know if you are interested by filling in this form. There is no deadline to express your interest.
