The call for the European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) Award 2021 is open. The Committee of the Regions is once again looking for regions and cities with an inspiring, future-oriented entrepreneurial strategy to support SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups.
The EER 2021 campaign is focused on 'Entrepreneurship for a green and sustainable future'. Up to three regions or cities have a chance to be awarded with the EER label and join a network of pioneering territories actively strengthening their entrepreneurial ecosystems, exchanging good practices and partnering up for European projects.
For inspiration, have a look at the iEER project. It is an Interreg Europe project that brings together former EER winners and shows how interregional cooperation can help to share solutions to boost regional entrepreneushipr ecosystems and support young entrepreneurs in particular.
Who can apply? How? When?
Any EU territory below the Member State level can apply, as long as they have the political-level competence to implement an entrepreneurial strategy. Regions, cities, EGTCs and Euroregions are welcome to participate.
Deadline to apply is 31 March 2020. See full details on the EER website, and check:
