This year’s European Week of Cities and Regions kept us busy! We organised workshops, sessions and participatory labs. Our projects hosted conferences and side events. We showed you some of our projects’ first results and we launched a new call for peer reviews. What a week!
We met so many interesting people
At our exhibition stand in the Agora village, we talked to so many interesting people! They came to talk about cooperation, to see how they could get involved and to connect with other regions. They came to meet our Policy Learning Platform experts and see policy learning in action. Finally, they came to hear our stories and test their knowledge in our quiz!
Our projects dropped by for a chat
Seven of our projects dropped by our exhibition stand to say hello and speak to passers-by at the Agora about what they do and their results.
Erudite and Carpe Digem talked about digital innovations in rural, peripheral and emerging regions. CircPro spoke on procurement for circular economy. SHARE exchanged their experience about cultural heritage policies in urban settings, while BRIDGES gave us some insight into RIS3 governance. ECOWASTE 4 FOOD shared solutions on reducing food waste and RETRACE talked about their strategic approach to transitioning into a circular economy.
See what RETRACE had to say.
We had lively discussions on cooperation
We organised three sessions over the course of the week which gave us the chance to talk about how interregional cooperation brings benefits to the regions. More on this soon!
We shared stories of our projects' results
Those who had the chance to visit us at our exhibition stand in the Agora village saw a preview of our new web-documentary. It tells the story of how solutions come easily when people work together. The official launch is coming soon. Stay tuned!
We launched a new call for peer reviews
Peer reviews are a great way to receive hands-on feedback and advice from other European regions – your peers – on the implementation of your policies and programmes.
Apply any time to ask the Policy Learning Platform for support. There is no cut-off date! The first applications will be reviewed on 22 November.
In short, EU Regions Week 2019 was a great success. See you in 2020!
