How can cooperation help to identify solutions? How are ideas and good practices turned into action? What is the impact, what are the results?
During the European Week of Regions and Cities (7-10 October 2019), you'll have a chance to see what cooperation means in practice. Throughout the week, the Interreg Europe exhibition stand in the Agora Village (Square) offers possibilities to see and learn more about interregional cooperation and the impact it has on people and regions all across Europe.
Here's a quick look at what to expect during #EURegionsWeek:
Monday - Exclusive preview of our new web documentary
For the opening day, we have a special treat for the participants. We have been collecting stories on the results and impact of interregional cooperation from our projects and now we want to share them with you! You'll have a chance to be among the first to explore the stories and learn more about how working together with others delivers change and contributes to better policies.
Tuesday - Spotlight on projects
Interreg Europe projects work on four topics:
- research and innovation
- SME competitiveness
- low-carbon economy
- environment and resource efficiency
Get to know the project activities and meet people behind the projects, and learn about the results coming out of cooperation. While you're at it, pick up some inspiration in the form of a good practice or two that might be relevant for you.
Wednesday - #policylearning in action
If you're looking for solutions or inspiration for better policies, this is your day. Come and discover our continuously growing pool of good practices. Meet our team of thematic experts and learn more about the services of the Policy Learning Platform. Or see how policy learning happens in practice during thematic matchmaking sessions, where public authorities discuss specific regional issues, experiences and needs with peers and policy stakeholders from across Europe.
Thursday - ABC of interregional cooperation
Interreg Europe supports 258 interregional cooperation projects involving more than 2000 partners from different parts of Europe. Take a tour around Europe and see what all these activities add up to. See how cooperation connects regions, how good practices inspire new solutions, and how all the exchanges between partners deliver results and impact the regions.
Bonus - test your knowledge and get creative
How much do you know about interregional cooperation? Have a look at our stories and test your knowledge in our quiz. Then, get creative and show us what cooperation means to you! We'll provide the building blocks, all you need is ideas and imagination.
Don't forget the sessions and workshops!
While the exhibition is open all week, we do hope to see you in our sessions as well. Registration is now closed. If you are coming to Brussels, check out the overview of our sessions and see you there!
Please note that only registered and approved #EURegionsWeek participants can enter the Square and the exhibition.
