No less than 199 inspiring projects were submitted for REGIOSTARS 2019, the annual competition rewarding excellence and new approaches in regional development.

The other categories include projects working on 'Connecting green, blue and grey' (Category 2) and 'Combatting inequalities and poverty' (Category 3).
A preliminary online vote is open until 9 July. Supporting your favourite project(s) is simple: spot your favourite(s) and show your support by clicking the 'like' button next to the project title.
The project with the highest number of ‘likes’ will be invited to the awards ceremony on 9 October.
The shortlisted finalists selected by the jury will be announced on 9 July. Once the finalists have been announced, you can continue to vote for your favourite. In addition to the winners selected by a jury in each of the five competition categories, the winner of the public choice will be announced at the awards ceremony in October during the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels.
