#EUinmyRegion is an annual EU-wide campaign to discover, explore and learn more about EU-funded projects and activities in regions across Europe.
You can participate in different ways. Spot a project in your region, share a photo or write a blog post about it, test your knowledge in a quiz and win prizes, or visit one of the projects yourself!
Visit an EU project
Thousands of European projects are opening their doors to the public to show their work and results. Pick the ones that interest you and pay them a visit. See which projects can be visited in your region. You can browse them all here.
Send your best shot to a photo contest
Have you seen an interesting EU-funded project? Keep your eyes open, they are all around us! Just look for the information boards with EU flags to identify them.
Spot one, snap a photo, and submit your picture to the #EUinmyRegions photo contest.
To participate, you should submit two pictures:
- Portrait of the project (be creative and show your artistic flair)
- Photo of the information board about the EU funding
Out of the submissions, 30 winners will be compiled into an exhibition that will travel around Europe!
Participate in a blog contest
Is writing more your thing? Yes? Then share a story of an interesting EU project you have discovered.
The blog post can be about any EU-funded project. The goal is to go beyond the data and statistics - relate the story to individuals, a groups of people or a region as a whole. You can write in any official EU language. See the contest rules for more information.
Participation is simple. Write and post your blog, and submit the link on the #EUinmyRegion website by 31 August 2018 (midnight, CEST).
Polishing your text pays off - three winners will be invited to Brussels for a 3-week tailor-made training programme on EU communications.
Test your knowledge in a quiz
Think you know all about the European cultures and traditions? Test your knowledge of EU regions and food in a quiz on the #EUinmyRegion website in order to win a special prize!
Prizes are up for grabs throughout the summer. Winners will be announced twice a month: 15 and 30 May, June, July and August. Eight winners will be selected in total to receive baskets full of regional specialties for a little taste of Europe delivered to your door. See further details here.
