Launch event on digital solutions for zero pollution
The European Commission is organising a launch event of Flagship 7 of it's Zero Pollution Action Plan.
The EU Action Plan ‘Toward Zero Pollution for Air, Water and Soil’ was published in May 2021. It contains a number of flagships on addressing various aspects of pollution in a collaborative manner, working towards the zero pollution objective, a key part of the European Green Deal.
The implementation of Flagship 7 will be supported by a Joint Working Group between the European Commission and the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL).
The launch event marks the starting point for the communication of the Joint Working Group’s activities to a wider audience. During the event, ENoLL will present the best practice it has identified about pollution reduction in:
- Mobility
- Energy
- Waste management
- Impacts on human health
The best practices, whose methodologies and tools are used by Living labs, have been chosen because cities and communities can easily replicate, transfer and scale them.
The Living Lab community will be joined by Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform and Living-in.EU, a movement of cities, communities and regions working together to advance the local digital transformation based on EU values and principles.
