The European Committee of the Regions and the OECD organise a joint webinar on the impact of the COVID-19 on EU regions and cities on 16 June (15:00-16:30 CEST).
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact throughout Europe. All levels of government - regional and local level included - will need to play a role in mitigating its effects in terms of the human and social cost, as well as economies and public finances.
Many cities and regions have already been on the frontline, facing the direct effects of the pandemic. As lockdowns are converging to exit strategies, new measures to support local businesses and communities are still needed.
The webinar will also present a possibility to participate in the CoR-OECD joint survey about the impact of the COVID-19 in terms of governance, finance and recovery plans.
More information is available on the CoR website.
