On 23 January, the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) organise a conference on ‘How to get people out of their cars’.
The event takes place in the Committee of the Regions (Rue Belliard 99, 1040 Brussels, 5th floor, meeting room JDE 52) at 9:00 - 13:15.
The aim of the conference is to discuss solutions for a modal shift that helps to move away from using private cars. Beyond the strategies for a modal shift, the emission reductions, health benefits and impact on air pollution, environment and climate change will also be discussed. Issues related to urban spaces, infrastructure and social aspects are also on the agenda.
More information is available on the conference website.
Registration is open until 20 January 2020.
