The European Fund for Engineering Education Development (EFEED) is partnering up with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC) for a conference 'Organizing Urban Resilience to Major Risks' on 31 May and 1 June 2018. The 100 Resilient Cities network is a partner of the Conference.
The topic will be covered from a broad perspective, tackling issues related to prevention, simulation, organisation of emergency, as well as resilience. For more information, have a look at the programme.
The event brings together the leading companies in water supply, energy, ICT and transportation sectors, the main insurance companies concerned as well as cities and regions in Europe, Union for the Mediterranean and Russia. Higher education institutions and research and innovation centers involved in resilience will give inputs too. The European Commission will be represented by JRC, DG HOME, DG ECHO and DG NEAR, as well the Union for the Mediterranean.
