The Agency for territorial cohesion of Italy, in association with the Department for Cohesion Policies, the Emilia-Romagna Region and ERVET, promotes a day of debate at European level on the topic of the Mediterranean basin and maritime cooperation on the way towards the post-2020 future.
Views will be introduced by representatives of the European Commission, EU member countries, pre-accession countries and international organisations. Interreg Europe is among the contributors, as Erwin Siweris, the Interreg Europe Programme Director, is one of the speakers in a session titled 'the mainstreaming of projects' results and integration processes of funds in the Mediterranean area'.
The event aims to pool ideas, suggestions and reflections on the topic, focusing especially on the obstacles and possible solutions to improve maritime cooperation in Europe.
