Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia, lead partner of the BID-REX project, organises a launch event of the project on 15th June 2016 in Solsona, Catalonia (Spain).
BID- REX, with a partnership of 9 partners from 7 different EU regions, aims to enhance natural value preservation through improved regional development policies by creating/reinforcing the link between relevant biodiversity data and conservation decision-making processes. More specifically, it aims to facilitate the use of biodiversity information and increase the impact of ERDF allocation in the preservation of the European natural heritage by providing decision-making processes with appropriate biodiversity information.
During the event, two invited guests will allow the attendants to understand the European context related to how the ERDF could help to enhance natural values (Mr. Peter Torkler, Baltic Sea Conservation Foundation) and environmental data integration across Europe (Mrs. Sara Vallecillo,European Commission, JRCI for Environment and Sustainability).
