Our third TLJ will take place on 20-21-22 October, save the date!
After a first Transnational Learning Journey (TLJ) in Kaunas, Lithuania, and a second in Navarre, Spain, LCA4Regions and the Pyhäjärvi Institute will take you to Satakunta, Finland. The global situation forces us once again to gather online, which does not mean that the learning process will be less intense. This time, the attention will be given to the exchange of experience on LCA for waste management and material flows. Three different sessions will delve into this topic from different angles:
- LCA for sustainable regional development – 20 October, 09:00-11:30 CET
After a brief introduction of the project and the life cycle approaches, an overview of Satakunta region and its policy context will be presented as well as some thoughts on Finnish politics and LCA. It will be completed by a discussion on LC tools in bioeconomy and LCA for waste management.
- LCA good practices on waste management and material flows – 21 October, 10:00-13:00 CET
LCA4Regions partners will present their good practices on the use of life cycle tools and methods on waste management and material flows. It will provide potential learning and inspiration for all regions with concrete ideas to be integrated into local policies and procedures. The session will finish with a case presenting the circular economy of plastics.
- Case studies and peer review – 22 October, 10:00-12:30 CET
For the last session two case studies from Finland will focus on waste management and nutrient recycling. A peer review gathering ideas to develop the future action plan in Satakunta will conclude this exchange of experiences.
Registrations will soon be available on the LCA4Regions website but we already invite you to save the date and hope to see you online!
