The Horizon 2020 POWER project is a user-driven European Innovation Partnership Water Action Group related project pioneering the Water Community approach to share knowledge and experience on water scarcity, security, quality and water consumption-related issues in different EU local authorities, thus creating an important tool for EU water policy.

Milton Keynes is a partner in the  project and has developed a digital platform to engage with communities on water related issues.

The platform has many attributes that are transferable and adaptable for community engagement on both climate action and carbon reduction issues when engaging with communities.

The presenter Christine Ballard works with Milton Keynes Council and has been involved in the project since its inception. Christine's presentation will focus on the community engagement aspects of the platform and how it can be redesigned to meet the needs of communities engaged in climate action and the drive towards a low carbon economy.
