On Monday the 12th of April 2021 all InnoHEIs partners came together online to discuss about the continuation of the InnoHEIs project.

The agenda was as follows:

  • Introduction
  • Continuation of the project in the pandemic situation: what is happening in the regions?
  • Good practices in Centre Val de Loire and Silesia regions
  • Partners' meetings in Tampere, Finland and North Sweden
  • Communication issues
  • Next steps and rounding off

What happens in the regions?

Partners are working on the RIS3 preparation which will lead to the drafting of policy instruments (ESIF) including support for the regional research and innovation infrastructure development and HEIs involvement. Furthermore, partners continue Mapping of RII exercise and Gap analysis which will result in making the Regional diagnosis for the regional performance of HEIs and their RII.

The pandemic situation (at the moment) does still not allow physical meetings, so partners agreed that good practices in Centre – Val de Loire and Silesia region should be demonstrated for partners using virtual means (on-line) during this and the next semesters. Partners discussed how they can address the pandemic situation in the regions regarding the InnoHEIs scope. Additionally partners will organize the regional Stakeholders group meetings once per semester.

5th call Interreg Europe

Moreover, partners agreed to not apply for the IE 5th call (for the 4th call projects it is not relevant). However, partners will keep in mind the possibility to prolong the InnoHEIs exchange of experience activities (phase 1) to the semester 7 (phase 2) implementing additional exchange of experiences (investigating good practices) and ask the JS additional budget for that.

Upcoming partners' meetings

Our next partners' meeting will take place on the 11th of May at 2 pm CET.

On the 27th and 28th of May our partners from Tampere organizes an online workshop for all partners and regional stakeholders. More information on this event will follow soon.

MIUN (Sweden) proposed to organize a (physical) partners’ meeting in the middle of January 2022 (since physical meetings in 2021 is not recommended by the JS).
