Innocastle stakeholders were present at the Heritage Houses for Europe conference that took place on the 24th of September at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels. The conference addressed family-owned heritage houses, which although represent a dynamic sector that creates jobs and generates sustainable growth, are sometimes seen as ‘the hidden face of cultural heritage’.

The conference presented the results of a study within the Heritage Houses for Europe project, underlining key findings and policy recommendations. The conference featured keynote speeches from politicians and experts while allowing the house owners to exchange experiences.

Innocastle partners and stakeholders represented the project during the “Meet stakeholders” session to take place during the afternoon. The project stand was visited by many people, from policymakers to NGO workers. Our team, consisting of project members from the Netherlands, Belgium and Romania, was happy to share experiences and talk about future-proofing European castles, manors and estates.
