came together for a two days kick-off meeting to highlights the milestones of the “Inno4Sports- Sport for Growth and Healthy & Vital Communities” project (I4S).


Mr. Rene Wijlens, manager of Sports and Technology Foundation and lead partner introduced the project with its main objectives. Namely:

The overall objective of Inno4Sports to improve the performance of research-based clusters in the field of the sports, by strengthening their potentials for quadruple helix cooperation as well as creating synergies with smart specialization processes, to address the changes in the societal role of sports and use it as a vehicle for economic regional growth.

The session on day one was subsequently focused on the administrative arrangements such as Rules of Procedures of the Interregional Steering Group / Partnership Agreement / financial arrangements so as to ensure a good collaboration pattern amongst all the partners. 

The second and last day was dedicated to the communication tasks introduced by the European Platform for Sport Innovation. The session was organized with the aim of:

- getting familiar with the external communication activities and outputs, their planned schedule as planned in the Application Form

- creating the internal working culture of the project to become then part of the project’s communication strategy
