Practical information

In this section you will find information related to venue and accommodation arrangements. Please keep in mind that travel and accommodation costs are at the expense of the participants. For Interreg Europe project partners, the travel and accommodation costs can be claimed through the progress reports and be reimbursed by the programme.

We suggest that you book your flights and hotel as soon as possible after receiving a confirmation email from us.

Entrance to HUONE

HUONE Jätkäsaari’s entrance is located at the southern end of the building, next to a construction area. You will see a number 16 above the door, it’s the same entrance as Aida Hotel. HUONE’s reception is on the first floor.

Arrival by metro

HUONE is only five minutes walk from the Ruoholahti Metro Station. Should you choose to arrive by metro, you are recommended to use tram number 8 (stop ´Cruselllinsilta´), which brings you directly to the entrance.

Arrival by tram

  • Tram number 8 takes you directly to HUONE. The tram stop is called ‘Crusellinsilta’ and is located right in front of HUONE.
  • Tram number 9 also stops ‘Saukonpaasi’ just a short walk away.

Arrival by car

From Espoo

From Länsiväylä follow signs for Ruoholahti. Then follow the signs for Jätkäsaari. The address is Länsisatamankatu 16, across the bridge (Crusell Bridgem Crusellinsilta) between Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari.

From the City Centre

From Mechelininkatu turn to Ruoholahti by driving Itämerenkatu until the corner of Länsisatamankatu. Take from the traffic lights in this corner take left  (following the tram line), continue on Länsisatamankatu over the Bridge Crusell. You will spot HUONE entrance on the left just next to the tram stop after the bridge. To park in HUONE parking slot, you need to turn left right after you have crossed the bridge.

Our address is Länsisatamankatu 16, across the bridge (Crusell Bridge – Crusellinsilta) between Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari. HUONE is located in the first building on your left after the bridge.

Parking info

HUONE customer parking (see map below) is located just next to the HUONE building. Please note that only the nearest area to HUONE building is for customer parking.  (The larger area is operated by the municipality). Drive in from “Messipojankuja”, next to “Martin Wegeliuksen kuja”. No previous registration is needed and the payment can be done at HUONE’s reception upon arrival.

What to do if you miss your flight?

According to EU legislation, all passengers departing from/arriving in an EU country (or Iceland, Norway, Switzerland) with a carrier licensed in the EU are entitled to a specific set of rights upon conditions. 

  • If your flight is cancelled, the airline must give you the choice between reimbursement or rerouting (you have the right to assistance while waiting). You may also be entitled to additional compensation (€125-€600) under some conditions.
  • For long delays, you may be entitled to assistance and to compensation, depending on the delay length and flight distance.
  • If you are denied boarding, you also have the choice between reimbursement or rerouting. You may also be entitled to compensation. If you choose re-routing, you are entitled to assistance if necessary.
  • The airline must always inform you about your rights.
  • If your luggage is lost, damaged or delayed, you may be entitled to compensation from the airline of up to about €1200.
  • For damaged luggage, you need to file your claim within 7 days of receiving your luggage (21 days for delayed luggage).
