The Policy Learning Platform is offering you a series of webinars to share insights and recommendations on how to support cities and regions in designing policies to foster urban cycling.
Join us for the third webinar of our cycling cities series on 4 February from 14:00 to 15:30 PM. We will discuss strategies for getting more people to cycle.
By taking a close look at winning solutions to induce behavioral change towards cycling in various segments of the urban population, interested stakeholders may discover innovative ways to have more people embracing the bike as a pollution-free and socially inclusive mode of transport.
What you can expect
We have invited experts in the field to share their experiences and recommendations with you:
- Albert Palomo from the Catalunya Regional Government, Department of Territorial Sustainability will give a keynote speech on increasing sustainable mobility by acting on behavioural change in schoolchildren with regard to cycling (School Chance)
- Steve Coucheman, Head of Bike Traffic Office at the Canton of Zurich, will present the cycling exam for school kids and new dedicated on-line platform in Zurich.
- Maria José Rojo, Project Manager and Coordinator for Active Travel and Health at POLIS, will speak about influencing employees' mobility behaviour and the employer approach in the Maastricht regional SUMP (REFORM).
- Tom Geens, Head of the Education Team at Pro Velo, will intervene on bike trainings targeted at women, adults, and elderly people in the Brussels Capital Region.
