Want to hear some good news? Well, here's one! HoCare project, the main objective of which is to boost delivery of Home Care innovative solutions in regional innovation chains by strengthening of cooperation of actors in regional innovation system using Quadruple-helix approach, has been extended. A new application was prepared and submitted by the HoCare project partners under the Interreg Europe 5th Call for additional activities. The new proposal was approved and currently, the project has been re-started for an additional period of 1 year, till 30th September 2022.

The objectives of the new project’s additional activities are:

• to further exchange experiences on the way the COVID-19 crisis impacts the issue addressed and on possible measures to face and recover from the crisis

• to further improve regional development policies for better facing and faster recovering from this unprecedented situation (pandemic).”

HoCare project has been extended for additional year.

The COVID-19 crisis revealed several gaps, especially in the sector of home care. The need for transforming home care procedures (mainly) in an electronic form and, thus, utilizing more innovative ICT solutions became even more important and urgent. Regions have adapted their relevant policies accordingly to effectively respond to the unexpectedly emerged needs. HoCare additional activities aim at examining these developments. Project partners will mainly focus on identifying new good practices that emerged as a result of the COVID-19 impact in the sector of home care solutions.

We continue with intensive work on the implementation of project activities. On 12th October 2022, all project partners attended the online Re-starting Interregional meeting, where we agreed on the process of the upcoming work. In the coming months, the project partners will prepare a regional analysis report to describe how the policy context is evolved in each partner’s region, especially in relation to the impact of the COVID-19 crisis and each partner will identify at least one new good practice. 8 regional stakeholder group meeting per semester are foreseen to be organized to discuss the various issues of the COVID-19 crisis that have affected the home care industry and exchange experiences on how the regions have adapted to this new era.
