This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
The Good Practice responds to the need to intercept greater quantities of used vegetable oils, which, if not collected, could be handled incorrectly by users, such as being poured into the sewer system.
Households deposit their bottles containing used vegetable oils into the big yellow bins, that are located in a convenient position.
The bin has a capacity of 800 litres and it is replaced three quarters of its capacity.

Resources needed
The revenues from the sale of the collected used oils cover the costs of installing and emptying the bin.
The Council has to cover only the costs of organizing the service and of an effective communicational campaign.

Potential for learning or transfer
It is important to devise an awareness campaign from the very beginning reaching all citizens to make them understand the importance of used vegetable oils collection.
