Night-Time Economy Strategies (NITIES): Interregional approaches to managing the night-time economy in the European Union

Night-time economy (NTE) is a term used to describe the economic activities in cities and town centres that typically occur between 6 p.m and 6 a.m. NTE encompasses a wide range of activities, including: entertainment and hospitality, cultural events, nightlife, but also activities that support these sectors such as transportation, safety and logistics networks.

Recognising the importance of the night-economy to the European Union’s economy, social cohesion and cultural life, the NITIES project aims to bring public authorities together to maximise the benefits of NTE while minimising its negative impacts.

We are looking for public authorities from across the European Union who are willing to develop and implement strategies for the night-time economy through interregional cooperation.
