On 2 March 2021, 14.00-15.30 (CET), the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform will organise a cross-thematic webinar to discover how the European Recovery and Resilience Facility (ERRF) can guide the green transition of European regions. This webinar is particularly relevant for the EURE project and partners are already looking forward to it, inviting their stakeholders to join too.

The European Recovery and Resilience Facility and regions

The ERRF will make 672.5 billion EUR of loans and grants available to support reforms and investments by Member States. To access the funds, each Member State is devising a National Recovery and Resilience Plan, covering 2021-2026, and drafted in co-operation with its regions.

The plans should give particular focus to answering challenges identified in the European Semester and contribute to sustainable growth. Indeed, every recovery and resilience plan must have a minimum of 37% expenditure related to green investments and reforms, supporting implementation of the European Green Deal.

What will the webinar be about?

The webinar will enable regional policymakers to explore with the European Commission the opportunities for green regional development that will stem from the ERRF. Participants will get to know how regional needs are reflected into national plans for the recovery.
