Veronika Erős is leading the Green Bus Project Office, which is taking care of the implementation of the Green Bus Pilot Project in Hungary and thus the preparation of the Green Bus Programme of Hungary. She was elected for 3 years as vice-chair of the Managing Board of the EIT Urban Mobility KIC in April 2020. As Business Creation Lead of ZONE Cluster, she has started to develop the East Hub Accelerator of EIT Urban Mobility to offer professional business development services for the Mobility-related start-ups that are looking for answers to the challenges in urban environment transport. Veronika obtained Economist BA in Economic Diplomacy and International Management at Budapest Business School and studied Regional and Environmental Economics MA at the University of West Hungary/Szent István University. Having 12 years of experience in the field of renewable energy utilization, rural development and business development, she has been participating in the creation and development of two clusters (ZONE & agroIT) in Hungary. Previously, while working as Director of Business Development at the former Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, she obtained a network of a number of business development and SME supporting stakeholders worldwide. She was a former NCP for IEE and LIFE/LIFE+ and now evaluates H2020 ICT and EIC Accelerator proposals.
Zoltán Csúcs works as the CEO of the company Pécsi Városfejlesztési Nonprofit Plc. Until November 2019, he worked as the technical director of the company and before that, until 2017, as the technical manager. In 2018, Zoltán received the Engineer of the Year Award. He has graduated as a technical computer engineer at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology in 2001. After that, he became a licensed architect in 2006 and a construction technical inspector in 2011.
István Király plays a crucial role at Paks Transportation Ltd. as the technical manager of the company. He graduated as a transport engineer specializing in road and urban transport. Working in the field since 1997 (Gemenc Volán, South Transdanubian Centre of Transportation, Kaposvár Transport Ltd., Paks Transport Ltd), he always dealt with organizing local public transportation systems. István has a wide range of experience from public transport organization to assisting the transition to alternative fuels – both in Kaposvár (from diesel to CNG) and Paks (from diesel to electric).
Balázs Kiss assists Paks Transportation Ltd. in the implementation of the E-MOB Interreg Europe project, a project similar to eBussed dealing with a wide range of e-mobility issues. He studied geography at the University of Pécs and specializes in rural transport geography. He mainly works on the generation and implementation of EU-funded projects in Tolna County.
János Szász has spent 20 years at the technical faculty of the University of Pécs as a lecturer and researcher before he joined public service. He supported the activities of the Hungarian delegation in the European Parliament as a senior adviser on regional development and transport and since 2009 has been involved in understanding and promoting electric mobility and related public procurements, from 2012 focusing on the emerging e-bus field. His ambition is to lead his native town Pécs from European Capital of Culture 2010 to Green Capital of Europe 202?.
Markku Ikonen is a Senior Lecturer and a Leader of Education at Turku University of Applied Sciences. His teaching subjects and previous working experience in a research organization are from the field of emission testing, engine technology, energy use and environmental impact of road transportation. Markku’s latest research topics are eco-driving and vehicle energy consumption simulations.
