Flanders has launched a new Clean Power for Transport subsidy call regarding semipublic charging infrastructure. The theme of this call is the rollout of normal and high power* charging infrastructure for electric cars in car parks outside the public domain. This includes car parks of supermarkets, sports grounds, recreational areas, school complexes, retail chains, business parks, ...
Some conditions are imposed: the charger should be accessible at least 10 hours every 24 hours and it should be possible to pay with an ad hoc paying system, such as your credit card. It is also required that the charging points will be supplied with green energy. The stations must also be equipped with standard connectors and should be maximum 500 meters away from households.
The premium goes up to 1000 euros for a charging station with a capacity up to 22kW and 6000 euros for high power stations (> 22kW). To speed up things the premium goes even up to 1500 euros (22kW), respectively 9000 euros (> 22kW), if companies manage to put the charging station into operation before 1st of January 2021.
The call is open until 1st of September 2020. You can find all the information on this website (in Dutch language): milieuvriendelijkevoertuigen.be/projectoproep-2020
