The Committee of the Regions (CoR) has organised an information day on 17 January 2019 to support interested cities and regions in the run up to their application of the 2020 edition of the European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) award.

The deadline for applications of the EER award is 27 March 2019. The information day will provide the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the objectives of the EER award and its benefits 
  • Obtain first-hand tips and advice from successful EER regions and members of the EER jury
  • Book a bilateral session with the EER secretariat about the specific aspects of the application process (upon request).

About European Entrepreneurial Region (EER)

The European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) is a project that identifies and rewards EU regions which show an outstanding and innovative entrepreneurial policy strategy, irrespective of their size, wealth and competences. The regions with the most credible, forward-thinking and promising vision plan are granted the label "European Entrepreneurial Region" (EER) for a specific year.

The EER award 2019 was granted to: Principality of Asturias (Spain), Provincie Gelderland (the Netherlands) and Region of Thessaly (Greece).
