On 11th and 12th April, our Maltese partner The Valletta 2018 Foundation, is hosting the fourth Design4Innovation event, combining the partnership meeting and knowledge exchange workshop which will focus on non-financial support instruments for SMEs to use design. This so-called 'soft support' includes mechanisms such as mentoring, training, match-making, advisory services and also infrastructural support.
The partners will present examples of good practice from their regions and jointly with stakeholders will identify critical success factors of such support programmes. Using 'Design Support Canvas' tool we will try to design instruments that would best address the needs of SMEs from our regions.
Participants will have a chance to learn about the development of the Valletta Design Cluster and visit its future site. Valletta Design Cluster is multi-purpose space aiming to foster creativity together with local community.
Design4Innovation is also taking the opportunity to contribute to the European Capital of Culture Valletta 2018 celebrations. On the evening of 11th of April, we will host a networking event with inspiring speakers and presentations of case studies from our partner regions. More information here.
