In the context of the current approach due to the pandemic generated by the Covid virus, to maintain social distance, the “Decarbonisation” Info-Day Event took place in a hybrid system, both on-site and online event. The event was attended by 57 people, respectively 25 on-site and 32 online. Decarbonisation” Info-Day was organized to disseminate DeCarb results, implications at the territorial level, expected improvements and measures to be implemented through Action Plans, to raise awareness and motivation of target groups to participate in the implementation phase.
The main topics of the event addressed:
- Development needs of stakeholders in the energy sector
- Actions that have been taken to improve and/or reorient the policy instruments to approach the decarbonization policy carried out within the DeCarb project
- The stakeholders need during the transition period.
The event was opened with the welcome from Mrs Lavinia Cretu, Implementation activities Manager DeCarb. Mrs Laura Buzatu, Project Expert presented the project progress, the results achieved and the upcoming activities. Participants were acquainted with the projects progress and the current activities of the 6th semester in which the project entered the phase of preparation of an action plan for co-creation of a policy in the field of decarbonisation, which concludes the first phase of the project. Mrs Mihaela Lupancescu, Communication Manager of DeCarb in Romania, presented financing opportunities in the energy sector and related sectors, giving participants the chance to find out about the current investment opportunities that are available in the energy sector. At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to discuss their funding needs with members of the DeCarb project implementation team, from the South-West Oltenia Development Agency.
The event ended with a session of free discussions focused, in particular, on how participants can be supported by the actions carried out in the project.
The event was organized within the DeCarb project - "Supporting the transition in the field of green energy of EU regions that exploit coal", was open to the general public and addressed current issues of interest to both citizens and SMEs, local authorities, national authorities and European.
