Project partners participated in the study visit in Wielkopolska on October 19-20, 2017. During its course, the Department of Economy of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region as a first good practice presented the "Gospodarna (thrifty) Wielkopolska" project implemented within Regional Operational Programme, including the economic and investment promotion of the region and the construction of the Wielkopolska Brand to strengthen the competitiveness of Wielkopolska's enterprises on the international arena, mainly in strategic areas defined as smart specializations. The recipients of the project are SMEs from Wielkopolska, as well as local governments having an offer of investment areas, investment projects or commercial properties for sale.

As part of presentation of the second good practice "Financial instruments for supporting the internationalization of SMEs", regional financial institutions: Wielkopolska Agency for Enterprise Development Ltd., Fund for Development and Promotion of the Wielkopolska Region Inc. and Wielkopolska Development Fund Ltd. jointly presented their experiences. They started from presentation of the JOSEFIN project implemented in 2009-2011, which covered the creation and tests of a financial instrument model combined with coaching and comprehensive consultancy, then they presented export advice for SMEs combined with an export guarantee and financial management of funds, originating from funds returned from financial engineering instruments of the Wielkopolska Regional Operational Programmes: 2007-2013 and 2014-2020.


The third good practice presented during the study visit in Wielkopolska was "Support for the development of enterprises’ international cooperation by Wielkopolska chambers": Wielkopolska Chamber of Crafts, Wielkopolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Polish Chamber of Commerce for Importers, Exporters and Cooperation. An additional point in the agenda was a visit to the Poznan Science and Technology Park by Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation where the visiting guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the international activities of the Park and support offered by the Park for foreign expansion of companies, visit Poznań Radiocarbon Laboratory together with prof. dr hab. eng. Tomasz Goslar and take part in an experimental lesson at the Imagination Laboratory.
