This presentation was held at the thematic event focussed on interim landfill use in Almere on June 6, 2018.
Daniele Cocca (Frisoli) presented the patented landfill retaining structures developed by Frisoli. These retaining structures for waste can be realised with an inclination of 70° allowing to increase landfill capacity. The technique permits not only to considerably extend the landfill lifetime but also to "close" the landfill with the required capping system with this inclination. Some cases on vertical lining were shown in the presentation.
