From March to end November 2020 AETIB AP implementation focused on the following actions to palliate COVID crisis:
1) Maintaining tourism activity & employment + measures to ensure a safe destination;
2) Three online marketing campaigns to reinforce Balearic Islands destination image: #ganasdevolver #timeisnow #Soon
On the 3rd,10th,14th and 17th Dec. 2020 took place 4 online training Workshops for SMEs on co-creation of experiential, innovative and sustainable tourism products.
Apart from learning new knowledge & skills, there was a contest and 8 new tourism projects have emerged from these co-creation Workshops, which will soon be ready for the market.
BRANDTour Action Plan activity done by AETIB, has succesfully achieved the delivery of innovative online Workshops that were aimed at training entrepreneurs and tourism SMEs:
- facing the challenges of a changing digital environment,
- facing an empowered client who has a super best ally on the internet,
- facing critical circumstances of sanitary health and economic crisis,
- facing a climate crisis and need for more sustainable, experiential products.
The 4 workshops organised have solved doubts regarding marketing, digital transformation, the importance of sustainability and SDGs, social networks and reputation, and how to take advantage of all this to succesfully market products in today's critical tourism circumstances.
One step further, this AP activity has opened door to increase competitiveness of SMEs in hard times. 118 participants of the workshops have now greater knowledge, more practical, more innovative. This is a totally new approach of delivering courses for the SMEs: the approach is different, they learn by doins and a result of the Worshops, 8 brand new tourism products projects will soon be ready to be marketed. Thanks to BRANDTour, tourism-related SMEs have been supported through the creation and development of new sustainable products. These new projects have contributed to the attainment of the OP’s Specific Objective 3.4.1.
