The BIOREGIO partners have published a policy report to give examples on how expertise in circular economy is connected with business through funding instruments. There are differences between the European regions in the way funds are allocated to policies and involvement of local stakeholders (authorities, companies, municipalities, universities) in the management of circular economy and biological streams.

This report is one of the ways to prepare the action plans to improve the policy instruments towards supporting bio-based circular economy in the participating regions. In the report, the project partners have reviewed some instruments that are currently in use in their regions and have the potential to facilitate the transfer of research results to industrial partners operating in the field of biowaste and biological streams.

The report is part of the exchange of experiences and good practices. It is meant as inspiration in preparing the action plans. The policy report is available in English and can be found from the project library's folder "Policy Brief & Reports".
