The 3rd interregional event will be held in the region of Central Macedonia, Greece, on 15 and 16 May 2018, continuing the fruitful cooperation between the partners and stakeholders of BIOREGIO project. The event will focus on agricultural waste gasification. The two-day long event will include workshops targeting participants from regional and business sector, expert presentations, thematic seminars and site visits related to the Good Practices of bio-based circular economy in Central Macedonia.


DAY 1

The starting point will be the presentations on policy development in each region of the project, setting the ground for a fruitful discussion on the actual application of good practices within the context of parallel workshop with the involvement of interregional stakeholders during the first day. Following that the event participants will visit the BIO2CHP small scale unit, hosted in the university campus and will be informed on the use of organic waste for the on-site heat and power production.

In the afternoon, 2 parallel workshops on Policy and Technology issues will take place, followed by an interesting visit to the BIO2CHP small scale unit, hosted in the university campus where all participants will be informed on the use of organic waste for the on-site heat and power production. 

DAY 2

On the second day, participants of the event will contact site visits related to the good practices of bio-based circular economy in Central Macedonia; the Waste Transfer station, EVYP SA (a company engaged in the production of hydrolysed proteins and amino acids, of plant origin only, for agricultural use), BIOGAS-LAGADA SA (Production, supply, marketing and exploitation of electricity from renewable energy sources) . Later, meetings on project management, coordination and communication issues will be held.
