On 7 April 2021, an online meeting of the local AgroRES project stakeholder group took place in Poland. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Marshal Office of the Lubelskie Voivodship working on the project and an expert from the Lublin Development Foundation. Lublin Development Foundation is an organization in the form of a cluster, dealing with the subject of renewable energy.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the current situation in the project, as well as plans and activities to be undertaken. Issues related to the preliminary development of the Regional Self-Assessment in the field of RES in the region were discussed. One of the mentioned opportunities to accelerate the use of renewable energy in rural areas and in agriculture was the development of energy clusters related to renewable energy. The expert from Lublin Development Foundation offered to help in a wider elaboration on this issue. She drew attention to the changing regulations concerning the creation and functioning of clusters and the planned changes. At present, an association in the form of a cluster does not bring tangible financial benefits or a privileged position when applying for investment funding. The proposed regulations suggest a change to other forms of association, which will give entities legal personality and the possibility of operating on the market fully.

Finally, it was agreed that we will work on the use of social energy initiatives in order to raise awareness and the possibility of using RES.
