The Interreg Project Slam 2021 celeberates the achievements of Interreg programmes in the 2014-2020 period. Organised by Interact, the Interreg Project Slam is open to all Interreg projects. The initiative is part of a broader European Cooperation Day effort to commemorate cooperation.

Your story and the achievements of your project can be part of this celebration.

How does the Interreg Project Slam work?

Interact has launched a call for all Interreg programmes to share stories about the achievements and results of cooperation. Emphasis is on creative use of storytelling techniques to make the benefits of cooperation relatable. Have a look at the video from 2020 to get a taste of the Project Slam stories.

The selection is not focused on any specific thematic categories as such. Instead, the aim is to find the most interesting stories that are relatable and showcase the potential of cooperation.

Out of all stories received, Interact will shortlist 10 stories for further development.

Based on the 10 selected stories, the finalists will have an opportunity to produce a video. Interact provides coaching and financial support for the video production (up to 3000 EUR per video). They will be shared online and featured in a social media campaign in September.

The ultimate winner will be selected during the week of 21 September (European Cooperation Day) in a grand final. The final is held online and streamed live. During the session, all 10 videos will be presented and complemented with an interview with each of the finalists. Finally, the online audience will select the winner by an interactive vote.

Share your story and join the celebration

We want to hear your story! Tell us what cooperation has helped you achieve. Show why interregional cooperation matters. Make it relatable, understandable, captivating and interesting. Even those who might not be very familiar with Interreg should be able to grasp what makes your project special.

Share your story by filling out this short survey by 10 June.

Each Interreg programme can submit up to two stories into the Interreg Project Slam. We will select two entries to enroll on behalf of Interreg Europe (if your project represents another Interreg programme, please contact your programme secretariat for more information). The stories we receive can also be used to promote project results and celebrate cooperation throughout the year via other channels and in other contexts.
