REMINDER: THIS POLICY LAB IS ONLY FOR REGIONAL OFFICERS!

After the first round-table of the Policy Lab 2.0 aimed at identifying the current existing tools, if any, that are being used to foster the transition towards a circular economy, we are ready to move onto the next step: the design of new tools.

The exchange of experiences and inputs from our first session with Regions and private stakeholders pointed out the need of defining a common standard in Regions for fostering a circular economy programme. This will be the starting point of the next discussion.

Quick overview: the Policy Lab is a platform where European Regions working with Circular Economy projects can collaborate, explore possible scenarios and co-design solutions for better policies in the achievement of an equitable transition towards circularity.

Every three months we pose a general research question to be addressed via a discussion that will orbit around three main sub-questions, one per each month, with all the Regions involved.

The main research question of the Policy Lab is: “EU Regions moving to a circular economy: which kind of tools?”

The sub-questions that will be addressed during this webinar will be:

  • How a specific office/service should be structured?
  • Data capacity building from local companies – what does the Regions  want/need from the local companies?
  • How would you like to get the needed skills?
  • How to make the capacity building as efficient as possible?
  • How can the Regional officers' competence be improved?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, SEND AN EMAIL TO [email protected]

Please note that at the end of this three-month period, once again the Policy Lab will issue a publication resuming all the inputs and suggestions arising during the meetings and will forward it to the European bodies, specifically the Members of Parliament involved in the circular economy transition.

This represents a great opportunity for your Region to have a say in such important matters and proactively contribute to shape the European circular path towards the economy of the future!
