The Norte Region in Portugal (NUTSII) is the one with more SPAs in the whole country, active (19) and inactive (4). In addition, the sub-region “Tâmega e Sousa” (NUTSIII) is the one, in Norte Region, with more SPAs (4+1) and, hence, was chosen for the field visit on the project.
After an introductory morning, we will thus start by visiting refurbishing Caldas de Aregos (1st day) followed by historic INATEL-Torre. Upon return to the hotel, we will have a quick view on Termas S.Vicente.
On the 2nd day, we will visit the brand new Termas de Amarante on the way to the Eurocity Chaves-Vérin, the only Good Practice we listed to our partners, with its Water Route including six springs that we will visit on that afternoon (after the visit to the Termas de Chaves) and on the morning of the last day.
Finally, we will conclude the visit in Porto at FMUP with a Networking “Porto de Honra” and Press Conference.
