During 14th and 21st of October 2020, the Blue Green City project team within the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency participated in a series of webinars relevant to the project’s objective. They were organized in the framework of the 18th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) and focused on topics such as:
-    The Urban Agenda Partnership for EU on sustainable land use and Nature based Solutions (NbS); oriented actions, outcomes and recommendations on turning the European cities in green, compact, liveable and energy efficient spaces;
-    Joining actions from different partnerships in managing the re-use of buildings and spaces in a circular economy; good practices in this domain;
-    Better financing solutions (instruments and opportunities) for projects promoting Nature based Solutions;
-    Enabling the Green Deal in the European regions and cities (funding the transition to a low CO2 economy in all sectors, making investments in sustainable energy);
-    Using REGIO funds for a greener Bucharest-Ilfov Region;
-    Renaturing European Cities through Nature based Solutions and green infrastructures; the benefits of NbS for the environment, social and economic opportunities; the importance of cooperation and working together in advancing and using NbS; good practices from the cities of Madrid and Helsinki;
-    The EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 and its’ implementation in the context of COVID-19 pandemic;
-    Effective citizen engagement strategies and use of smart technologies to co-design European green cities;
-    Innovative initiatives to implement green cities, using research, innovation, good governance and collaboration of public authorities with the local community.
