This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
Example of a cooperation framework between the Region Parkstad Limburg & municipalities for the development of a Regional SUMP (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan)
Resources needed
The resources needed were mostly internal staff of the region and municipalities. The EU project PolySUMP provided an external expert to support the process with analysis and workshops, which the region only had to organize (in total € 20.000).
Evidence of success
The first result is the adoption of the regional SUMP itself, including the common vision and goals. The SUMP has already resulted in measures and actions by municipalities on sustainable urban mobility on the basis of the SUMP directions (Public transport, Biking, E-mobility etc.).
Potential for learning or transfer
Apart from the above-mentioned prerequisites, the measure is fully transferable to regions and their local municipalities.
To put this measure into practice, it is necessary to have enough skills on the process of developing a (regional) SUMP.
